Overview

The plant, the warehouse and the route are one business

Athena brings production at the treatment plant, procurement of raw materials and packaging, inventory of finished product and empty bottles, and route-based sales to retailers into a single database — so plant output, van stock, customer credit and the general ledger always agree.

  • No more paper documents

Sales orders, invoices, receipts and returns are produced on the device in the van.

  • Never out of stock on an enquiry

Availability is checked against van, yard and plant stock in one place before you commit.

  • Customer credit limit control

Credit exposure is enforced at the point of sale, not discovered at month end.

  • Prompt strategic decisions

Plant yield, route cost and margin leakage visible while you can still act on them.

The same trading day, run the same way — before and after

Manual process

  1. Plant output written on a sheet; stock adjusted on Friday, if anyone remembers
  2. Van loads decided from yesterday's stock, not today's; outlets run out mid-shift
  3. Coupon books carried, counted and reconciled by hand at the depot
  4. Quality test results read after the lot is already loaded onto vans
  5. Credit limit checked at month end; the limit itself is a suggestion
  6. Empty bottles counted on the van, not matched to production, so the cycle is never closed
  7. Cycle: 3–10 days between a stock, quality or credit problem and anyone knowing

Athena + agent fabric

  1. IoT records production, yield and downtime against the batch as it happens
  2. Stock agent plans the van load against live stock and the day's actual orders
  3. QR-coded eCoupons redeemed on the handset; no book to print, carry or count
  4. Quality agent quarantines the lot on the failing reading, before it can be loaded
  5. Exposure agent enforces the credit limit at the point of sale, not at month end
  6. Empties captured per outlet and returned to stock, closing the bottle cycle
  7. Cycle: seconds — a signal becomes a logged, approved, executed action

Agentic plant & trade analytics

Ask your business a question. Get a governed, cited answer.

Athena pairs the ERP record with an agentic analytics layer that reasons across every batch, test, stock movement, route, coupon, invoice and ledger entry. Ask it in natural language and it writes the query, runs it, charts it, explains it, and cites the exact records behind the answer — so a number in a board pack is always traceable to its source.

Paired with LucidA — Agentic Analytics, the same capability extends across finance, supply chain and workforce, so trading performance is read in the context of the whole enterprise.

  • Natural-language querying

No report builder — ask in the language the sales and plant teams already use.

  • Predictive demand

Forecasts outlet demand, stockout windows and credit exposure before they land.

  • Automated insight briefs

Agents write the weekly review: what moved, why, what is at risk, what needs a decision.

  • Portfolio view

Every outlet, route, product and customer ranked by exposure in one list.

Where are we leaking margin — the plant, the routes, or the customers?

Agent answered · 1.6s · 7 sources cited

  • The plant is not the problem: yield has held at 96.1% for six months, against a 94% plan.
  • Routes are costing AED 61k a month — Van 09 alone is 34% over budget on fuel, with an average 41% of the shift spent travelling.
  • Customers are the real exposure: AED 412k overdue across 6 accounts, and 3 of them sit beyond agreed credit terms by over 60 days.
  • Of that overdue, AED 96k is concentrated in 2 outlets on the southern cluster, both repeatedly buying just below the credit limit.
  • Recommended: hold credit on those 2 outlets, re-sequence the southern cluster onto Van 14, and raise reorder cover for 5.5L in the east zone.

FAQ

Water Treatment & Trading — frequently asked questions

The questions procurement, security and engineering ask before the first call.

What is water treatment and trading ERP software?

It is one integrated system that manages a water purification and trading business end to end: production at the treatment plant, procurement of raw materials and packaging, inventory of finished product and empty bottles, sales and distribution to retailers and outlets, mobile route-based selling, coupon redemption, and the accounting that ties it together. Athena brings these together in a single database so that plant output, van stock, customer credit and the general ledger always agree.

What does the Outdoor Sales Mobile Application do?

It manages route planning, customer visits, product delivery and daily sales, with navigation guidance, sales orders, customer invoices, sales returns and receipts, day start with van loading, and day sales closure and collection. Invoices can be settled by cash sale, credit payment or coupon exchange, and the return of empty bottles and the sale of dispensers are handled in the same application.

How does coupon management work in Athena?

The Coupon Management module defines coupons, generates and issues coupon books to salesmen and sells coupons to customers, with the coupon sale interlinked to both the employee and the customer. At the point of sale, returned coupons are tracked and accounted, which in turn manages the stock of the coupon books. eCoupons with QR codes replace pre-printed books, removing the printing, carrying and reconciliation cost.

Can the mobile application work without a network connection?

Yes. The device works online or offline. In online mode, sales data synchronises with the central database in real time. In offline mode it stores sales data locally and the user can integrate it later. This matters because delivery routes routinely pass through areas with no coverage, and a salesman who cannot sell because of a dead network is a lost sale.

How does Athena handle empty bottle returns and bottle transfers?

Bottle delivery can be settled by cash on delivery, credit payment or coupon exchange. The return of empty bottles and the sale of dispensers are both handled in the application, and bottles can be transferred from one vehicle to another on an approval basis. This closes the loop between what leaves the plant, what the van carries, what is delivered and what comes back.

How is inventory valued and controlled?

Athena supports average, first in first out and last in first out valuation, with multiple units of measure and conversions, multiple location stock control, and stock inward and dispatch management. Because sales, van loading and returns all post to the same stock ledger, the system can avoid out-of-stock situations when a customer inquires — the most common cause of a lost sale in distribution.

What finance and accounting does Athena include?

The AMC Athena ERP Suite handles all finance-related activities, with all modules tightly integrated to finance and general ledger entries generated from source transactions. It includes complete VAT compliant finance accounting, a flexible chart of accounts and cost centres, configurable tax, multi-currency and multi-organisation capability, and customer credit limit control.

How does Athena integrate the treatment plant with the distribution operation?

Athena provides an integrated system for treatment plant operations, with IoT device support for automated production and loading to delivery vehicles. Production output, finished goods and empty bottle stock, and the load going onto a specific van are all recorded against the same production and inventory records, so the plant knows what was produced, what was loaded, and what is still in the yard.

How does agentic AI automate a water treatment and trading business?

Athena deploys goal-driven agents running a continuous sense, reason, plan, act and learn cycle over live plant, production, inventory, route and sales data. They watch production yield drift, stockout risk, route inefficiency, quality test failures, coupon anomalies and customer credit exposure; trace each variance to its real driver — a filter, a forecast, a load plan, a route, a salesman or a customer; choose the cheapest correction that protects yield, availability and cash; and write back into the same workflow your team already uses. Every action is permissioned, logged and reversible.

Which parts of the business does Athena cover?

Production, procurement, inventory, sales and distribution, mobile and van sales management, coupon management, CRM, vehicle management, HR and accounting. The wider suite adds enterprise asset management with tool control, calibration and preventive maintenance; quality assurance with audits, non-conformities and risk; project management on PMI principles; time and attendance; and self-service business intelligence through LucidA.

Can Athena Water Treatment and Trading be deployed on-premise?

Yes. On-premise, in a private cloud, or in a sovereign cloud region. This matters for water businesses where production cost, customer credit, route economics and connected-plant data are commercially sensitive, and for national utilities and municipal operators where data residency is often a requirement. The mobile applications and the agentic layer run against the same deployment, under your own permission model.
